Morbid Mile Run – 05
Well, this is awkward.
I uploaded this page about last week, expecting to not have my computer this week. Well, apparently, Apple has really good customer service. I brought my computer to the Apple store for repairs (battery replacement, broken usb drive, dented bottom, and missing feet) on Thursday, expecting to get it back in 10-14 days. When I arrived, I was told it would take 5 days. Expecting to have no computer for some time, I planned some video game stuff (like getting the Dead Rising “7 Day Survivor” Achievement) to keep my occupied. Well, Saturday afternoon, I got a call that my computer was ready to be picked up. 2 days. Wow. Thanks, Apple Care, for being really efficient. And they didn’t remove my stickers!
In other news, I helped my dear girlfriend, Erin move into her new house over the weekend. She was moving from Connecticut to New York for school, and had to bring everything. EVERYTHING. 3 days, a few herniated discs, and some property damage later, she is all moved in. Her place is nice, albeit very ghetto looking (the drywall looks like it is held up by duct tape in some places), and hotter than the blazes of hell. Seriously, it was about 62°F (~16°C) outside and her room was in the higher 80°s (>26°C).
She and her roommates managed to get a good cable/internet package, so for once, we were able to watch Dexter together on actual Showtime, rather than the internet, which was nice. We had a fun little marathon of Dexter, Breaking Bad, and the Newsroom from 9-12.
Which reminds me: the Breaking Bad premiere was on Sunday. IT. WAS. EPIC. It seriously blew my expectations out of the water. I am really excited for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, Dexter and Breaking Bad are on their last seasons, so Erin and I are going to need to find new shows.
Anyway, I’ll see you all next week.
