I’m not gonna’ jinx myself this time.

SO, I managed to get a page up on time! Yay!

It took a while, and shipping cost way more than I expected, but I have a brand new replacement tablet. Wacom replaced it entirely, which means I have a new/backup stylus, new chords, and a new wireless kit too. A part of me is a little sad that they didn’t simply repair the one I sent in. I may be overly sentimental about these things, but the thing helped me through a year of comics before it broke. I even have my old Intuos 2 that lasted me about 10 years (and still almost works perfectly).

In my downtime, I have done some work on the comic (drew a few pages, ready for scanning), and have been watching some TV shows. I recently binge-watched It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia from start to the recent season Finale, caught up with shows like Community, Better Call Saul, Regular Show, Gravity Falls, Girl Meets World, Parasyte -the Maxim-, and have just gotten onto the second Season of Tokyo Ghoul. In this time, I also finished Dragon Ball Xenoverse (though, I’m not done playing it).

Man, a lot has happened in the past few weeks…

Lately the big thing in my life is that I applied to my dream job. Rooster Teeth put up an ad for a Production Artist, looking for people who do character and creature design, among other duties. Seeing as how Waking Up Dead is a prime example of that in action, I applied as soon as I got together my stuff (took two days). I’m still waiting to hear back from them, but I did notice site activity did increase a lot in the past two weeks, even though I wasn’t updating.

Also, and admittedly, I put this off for a while, I put a link to my Deviantart account in the top toolbar. With the application to Rooster Teeth, I realized I lack an online portfolio, and the only place my artwork (save for the comic) is consolidated is on that site. I kind of wanted to keep it separate, as I try to keep the comic at a certain level of maturity content (no nudity, no real swearing, etc, basically a PG-13 rating), and I don’t actually have that on my DA account. While I’m not one to draw sexual content, I have sworn like a sailor on that site in the past. Regardless, you can get a good look at some of my other work there, and I’ve been posting concept art for WuD up recently.

This post is dragging a bit, so I’ll see you all on Tuesday.
