Occulture Shock – 42
I’m actually really fond of how the art came out on the next few pages. It was actually annoying at first because I had to re-learn how to draw everyone, but in the end, Necromancer here had some great details in his mask that I’m glad I was able to show off here.
So, not much has happened in the past week. I’ve been kind of relaxing and working on the comic between shifts at my day job. I’ve been doing a little soul searching in that time, and I think I’m going to make a really big change in my life. However, I’d rather not announce it just yet.
I really can’t wait for the next few pages. Starting with Issue 6, I’ve transitioned to working 100% in Manga Studio, as opposed to Photoshop and Illustrator, so the art has a significant change, although, if you ask me, it’s for the better. Everything looks a little more natural, if not a little less precise. Regardless, it looks great, and I can’t wait for you guys to see it.
I’m actually pretty far ahead in what I’m working on. There are 3 more pages in this issue (and all are finished), and then I’m finished with the first 7 pages of Issue 6, working on the 8th tonight. I’ve never really had this big a buffer, even before I started updating with two pages a week. Sadly, still not comfortable updating more than once each week at this point. We’ll see in the future if that changes, but for now, I’d like to just be proud of how much further ahead I am. It’d be cool to be over an issue ahead down the line.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll see you all next week.
