Guest Comic? Guest Comic!
Well, that was quick. Hello everybody!
So, I’ve been following a webcomic called My Poor Wife for about a month now, since a friend posted about them on Facebook. It’s a fun little webcomic about his marriage, and features some fun anecdotes about his wife and life.
Anyway, the creator, Peet Sketches, posted to his Facebook page Sunday night that he was moving house, and wouldn’t be able to put a page up for his Tuesday deadline, asking if anyone was interested in submitting a guest comic. The post wasn’t up for 10 minutes before I jumped on there, and said I’d have something for him come morning.
Worked 9 hours through the night, and emailed him the final product at around 10:30 in the morning.
Peet suggested I draw a comic from my life, or make a story up about them. I don’t feel comfortable writing about people and characters I don’t know too well, so I chose to draw a recent story about Erin and I. Peet makes a lot of poop and fart jokes in his comic, so I felt my subject matter wouldn’t be too far from the norm he set.
Anyway, check out my comic for My Poor Wife on their website here, and read through the archive while you’re there. Or, you can follow them on Facebook!
Alternatively, you can find Peet’s Personal website here, and follow him on Twitter here.
I really do love comics about relationships. The last one I used to follow closely was called Sean and Mimi’s Awkward Adventures, which kind of fell off of the face of the earth before they got married in June. Coincidentally, I did a guest page for them a LONG time ago. I only drew the page; the writer is the same person who I mention briefly in our “About” page. You can see that comic here.
Man, my quality of work has come a long way…
Anyway, that is all for now. I’ll see you guys later!
